Service Levels

We understand how important it is to keep you up to date on the progress of the mortgage applications you submit to us so that you can be confident when recommending us to your clients.

You can track the progress of an individual case on Northern Rock Online (NRO) and we also provide you with individual email updates as your client's case progresses.

The table below shows the oldest items we are working on (based on the date received by NR). Our target turnaround time to assess supporting documentation is generally 48 hours but when application volumes are unusually high it will take us longer.

We prioritise and work cases with oldest items outstanding but once a case is open for review all received items of post, valuations and other information is assessed together irrespective of date received.

In all cases please ensure that all supporting documentation is provided up front when you submit your application. These requirements will be outlined in full on the Decision Certificate and will usually include items such as:

  • Income Verification Requirements (Payslips and a P60 for each applicant)
  • Monthly Essential and Regular Expenditure Form (If requested we will not instruct the valuation until this form is received)
  • A signed Declaration and Direct Debit details
